PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville will host its first annual Women in Sports Banquet on Tuesday, March 4 in Velzy Commons. The event will celebrate the achievements of Pioneer women student-athletes while financially enhancing the eight NCAA women sports programs at UW-Platteville.

Senior Arianna Lombardi earned Second Team All-Region honors, with sophomores Lexi Ward and Jess Morawski each tabbed Fourth Team.

Receiving the honors were seniors Arianna Lombardi and Lydia Smith and sophomores Jess Morawski and Madison Way, with Way also earning a share of the Kwik Trip Goalkeeper of the Year award. Sophomore Lexi Ward picked up WIAC Honorable Mention, while senior Samantha Yexley was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
