Lasee won the Warhawk Open on Friday afternoon, running a personal-best time of 26:57.7 in the 8k race. The junior bettered his previous best by 40 seconds and secured his spot for the WIAC Championships next weekend. Kierney McDonald -- Sophomore -- Taylor Ridge, Ill. / Rockridge -- Middle Blocker McDonald put together a strong week for the Pioneers, averaging 2.00 kills and 1.14 blocks per set across three matches. The sophomore hit .476 and recorded 13 kills to start the week in a loss to Coe, but dominated at the net against UW-Stevens Point and Cornell over the weekend. McDonald tallied three solo blocks and two block assists in the win over the Pointer before adding another three solo blocks and seven block assists in the loss to Cornell on Saturday. *Named WIAC Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week |
