Postseason Play Around The Corner For Pioneers

Men's Soccer Hosts Two Matches
The Pioneers men's soccer team plays a pair of home games this week as they look ahead to the Coast-to-Coast Conference Tournament next week. UW-Platteville hosts St. Scholastica at 4 p.m. on Tuesday before welcoming UW-Eau Claire on Friday at 7 p.m.
The Saints are 2-12-1 on the year with recent losses to Augsburg and St. John's. St. Scholastica has scored 13 goals across its 15 games, while allowing 48 (3.20 per game).
The Blugolds have won three straight to sit at 11-3-2. UW-Eau Claire will head to Augsburg on Tuesday night before Friday's match against the Pioneers. Nathan Donovan is the primary offensive threat for the Blugolds with 20 goals and 12 assists on the year.
Women's Soccer Wraps Up Regular Season Play
With a five-game winning streak in hand, the Pioneers women's soccer team concludes regular season play this week with matches against Beloit and UW-Oshkosh. UW-Platteville travels to Beloit on Wednesday at 4 p.m. before hosting UW-Oshkosh on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Beloit is 4-8-4 on the season, with a 1-1 draw against Grinnell its last contest. The Buccaneers average 0.63 goals per game, while allowing 1.25.
The Titans are 4-9-3 on the year and rank fourth in the WIAC at 3-3. Before heading to Platteville, UW-Oshkosh will play a non-conference game against Concordia Wisconsin on Wednesday afternoon. On the season, the Titans have scored 19 goals, while allowing a conference-high 35.
Volleyball Travels to UW-Oshkosh Wednesday
After posting an upset win over UW-Stevens Point last Friday, the Pioneers volleyball team heads to UW-Oshkosh on Wednesday night for a 7 p.m. match.
The Titans are a perfect 28-0 on the year and 5-0 in WIAC play. Ranked second in the AVCA Top 25, UW-Oshkosh leads the conference in several categories, including kills per set (14.06) and hitting percentage (.250). Riley Kindt (3.21) and Sami Perlberg (3.17) lead the Titans in kills per set.
Football Heads to UW-Whitewater Saturday
The Pioneers football team continues conference play on Saturday when it travels to UW-Whitewater for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
The Warhawks are fifth in the D3football.com Top 25 and won 37-20 over UW-Stout on Saturday to improve to 6-1 on the year. Tamir Thomas and Alijah Maher-Parr form a strong rushing duo as UW-Whitewater leads the conference with 217.0 rushing yards per game and 18 touchdowns. On the defensive side, Joey Antonietti paces the conference with four interceptions.
Cross Country Competes at WIAC Championships
The Pioneers cross country team will run at the 2023 WIAC Championships (presented by Culver's) on Saturday at Prescott High School in Prescott, Wisconsin. UW-River Falls is the host of the meet, with the men's championship starting at noon and the women's beginning at 1 p.m.
