PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville will host its first annual Women in Sports Banquet on Tuesday, March 4 in Velzy Commons. The event will celebrate the achievements of Pioneer women student-athletes while financially enhancing the eight NCAA women sports programs at UW-Platteville.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Four members of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s soccer team were named to the 2024 United Soccer Coaches NCAA DIII All-Region Team on Tuesday afternoon. Junior Danny Gutzwiller led the group with First Team honors, while junior Seth Aiken and senior Alex Wano were tabbed Second Team. Junior Ethan Dietrich picked up Third Team All-Region recognition.
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – In a tightly contested match, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s soccer team (14-2-5) battled UW-Eau Claire (17-1-5) to a 2-2 draw in full time on Saturday evening from Simpson Field. The Blugolds claimed the match 3-2 in penalty kicks to advance to the Elite Eight in the NCAA DIII Championships.

PETER, Minn. – For just the second time in program history, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s soccer team (14-2-4) will advance to the third round of the NCAA DIII Tournament after taking down host Gustavus Adolphus (16-2-3) by a final score of 1-0 on Sunday afternoon from Gustie Soccer Field in St. Peter, Minnesota.

Senior Lucas Schoeneberg, junior Ethan Dietrich, junior Danny Gutzwiller, and sophomore Justin Williams joined the duo on the All-WIAC Team, while senior Isaac Petersen was named Honorable Mention. Junior Kellen Klosterman picked up a spot on the WIAC All-Sportsmanship team.

MENOMONIE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s soccer team (8-1-2, 1-1 WIAC) scored four goals in the first half and another five in the second half to beat UW-Stout (2-11-0, 0-2-0 WIAC) 9-0 on Saturday afternoon from Nelson Field in Menomonie, Wisconsin.
