UW-Platteville Women's Basketball Camps
“Basic Skills” Youth Camp (7/29-7/31, 9am-12pm. 8/1, 9-11am)
For those entering grades 2-9, $100
This camp will target teaching the fundamental skills of basketball and will be geared to players who are newer to the sport. An emphasize will be made on developing player’s basketball skills in multiple areas like shooting, ball handling, footwork, rebounding, and defense. We will use different drills, stations, and games to ensure the correct learning of these skills.
Pioneer camps utilize instruction, player/coach demonstrations, game simulation drills, and film sessions to build an understanding of the specific skills necessary to progress to an advanced player in the game of basketball.
Players will be able to demonstrate what they have learned via drills, stations, and games.

Position Camp (7/30, 1-4pm)
For those entering grades 9-12, $60
This camp will target teaching skills specific to the two primary positions (guard or post) with particular attention paid to shooting, dribbling, passing, pivoting/footwork, defense, and communication.
Posts and guards will initially work separately on skill development but eventually combine workouts to implement what they have learned into half court and team play settings.
Pioneer camps utilize instruction, player/coach demonstrations, game simulation drills, and film sessions to build an understanding of the specific skills necessary to progress to an advanced level as a post or guard.
Players will be able to demonstrate what they have learned via drills, stations, and games.

Advanced Instruction Camp (8/1, 12pm-4pm)
For those entering grades 10-12, as well as graduating seniors, $75
This camp is designed for sophomores, juniors, seniors, & graduating seniors who aspire to play college basketball; players will experience a high-intensity college environment during camp. This experience will include fundamental skills and drills as well as advanced skills such as game strategy and game-like situation breakdowns. All activities will be practiced and played at a high-intensity pace.
Pioneer camps utilize instruction, player/coach demonstrations, game simulation drills, and film sessions to build an understanding of the specific skills necessary to progress to an advanced player who is ready for college level competition and play.
Players will be able to demonstrate what they have learned via drills, stations, and games.
