UW-Platteville Women's Basketball Camps
“Basic Skills” Youth Camp (6/16 – 6/17, 9-4pm)
For those entering grades 2-8, $130
This camp will target teaching the fundamental skills of basketball and will be geared to players who are newer to the sport. An emphasize will be made on developing player’s basketball skills in multiple areas like shooting, ball handling, footwork, rebounding, and defense. We will use different drills, stations, contests and games to ensure the correct learning of these skills. Players will be able to demonstrate what they have learned via drills, stations, and games.
Pioneer camps utilize instruction, player/coach demonstrations, game simulation drills, and film sessions to build an understanding of the specific skills necessary to progress to an advanced player in the game of basketball.
** We will take approximately a 45-minute break starting at 12:00pm for lunch. Campers are asked to provide their own bag lunch during this time

High School ID Camp (6/18, 9-12pm)
For those entering grades 9-12, $65
This camp will target teaching skills specific to high school players looking to improve their game and we will pay particular attention to shooting, ball-handling, pivoting/footwork, defense, and communication.
This camp will also allow time for specific positional work. Posts and guards will work separately on skill development and will then combine to implement what they have learned into half court and team play settings. Players will be able to demonstrate what they have learned via drills, stations, and games.
Pioneer camps utilize instruction, player/coach demonstrations, game simulation drills, and film sessions to build an understanding of the specific skills necessary to progress to an advanced level as a post or guard.

Advanced Instruction Camp (7/30, 10:30-2:30pm)
For those entering grades 10-12, as well as graduating seniors, $80
This camp is designed for sophomores, juniors, seniors, & graduating seniors who aspire to play college basketball; players will experience a high-intensity college environment during camp. This experience will include fundamental skills and drills as well as advanced skills such as game strategy and game-like situation breakdowns. All activities will be practiced and played at a high-intensity pace. Players will be able to demonstrate what they have learned via drills, stations, and games.
Pioneer camps utilize instruction, player/coach demonstrations, game simulation drills, and film sessions to build an understanding of the specific skills necessary to progress to an advanced player who is ready for college level competition and play.
