Fago, Mullins Collect WIAC Postseason Awards

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Sophomore Justin Fago of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team was named to the 2023 All-WIAC Team the conference announced on Wednesday. Senior Grant Mullins was tabbed Honorable Mention while sophomore Johnathon Hamann earned a spot on the All-Sportsmanship Team.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Five members of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team have been named to the Academic All-District Team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) it was announced on Tuesday. Senior Brandon Molldrem, senior Mitchell McLaughlin, junior Jake Schneider, sophomore Isaac Bixby, and sophomore Brady Hoppert each received the recognition.

WHITEWATER, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville baseball team (10-23, 7-15 WIAC) dropped a pair of games Friday afternoon in a doubleheader on the road against UW-Whitewater (26-11, 13-9 WIAC). The Warhawks won by scores of 17-3 and 20-6 in two seven inning contests.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville athletic department announced a partnership with NOCAP Sports, a premier service aimed at aiding collegiate student-athletes in enhancing their opportunities in the Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) market. NOCAP Sports is a platform which provides resources for student-athletes to work with brands while enabling them to form comprehensive and successful partnerships. Student-Athletes join the platform free of charge and become eligible to build their brand.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) released its 2022-23 College All-Americans this past week, with five University of Platteville-Wisconsin student-athletes earning the honor. The Pioneers to receive the award were sophomore Emma Carlson (Volleyball), sophomore Isaac Bixby (Baseball), senior Justin Eichler (Men’s Track & Field), senior Paulina Wienke (Women’s Track & Field), and junior Kendall Drake (Softball).
