PLATTEVILLE, WI – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville announced that it has entered into a multi-year partnership with NIKE through BSN SPORTS to continue to make NIKE the official apparel of Pioneer Athletics. BSN will also serve as the official equipment provider.
Platteville, Wis.- The annual Petey Awards banquet is an exciting time for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Athletic Department. It is an end of the year celebration to honor the Pioneer student-athletes’ hard work and commitment. Due to COVID-19, the Petey Awards banquet was canceled and replaced by an online show to recognize the department’s major award winners.

Platteville, Wis.-Recruiting is a vital part of any college coaches’ duties. Recruiting prospective student-athletes is the lifeline of athletic programs. Like the students and student-athletes at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville who went from face-to-face learning to alternative learning; the head and assistant coaches had to adapt from face-to face-recruiting and to virtual recruiting.

Platteville, Wis.-National Student Athlete Day (NSAD) was established in 1987 by the National Consortium for Academics and Sports to honor those student-athletes who achieved excellence in academics and athletics. NSAD has been celebrated on April, 6 annually since its inception.

MADISON, Wis.--Following a very deliberative process to allow for the full consideration of the most up-to-date information pertaining to the spread of COVID-19, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced a set of measures that will be implemented conference-wide effective immediately. 1. The spring sports season (i.e., baseball, softball, women’s lacrosse, outdoor track & field, golf and tennis) has been cancelled to include any and all competition. 2. Any and all athletically-related activities (e.g., practice) are suspended indefinitely.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – UW-Platteville Athletics remains in regular communication with University and UW-System leadership to monitor developments related to COVID-19. In response to decisions being made, UW-Platteville Athletics will implement the following measures for athletic events. Cancellation of Softball, Baseball, and Track and Field competitions through the 2020 Spring Sports Season.

Platteville, Wis.- In January of 2019 the University of Wisconsin-Platteville opened its doors to a state-of-the-art addition of Williams Fieldhouse. Inside the new addition are multi-purpose courts, a walking track, and a vary spacious weight and cardiovascular area. Right off the weight room though, is one the most important thing for the approximately 450 student-athletes, the new athletic training room.

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s soccer team’s 2019 schedule came to a close Saturday with a 4-0 loss at UW Oshkosh on J.J. Keller Field.

Davis Pioneer Stadium. The Eagles improved to 9-4-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the league while the Pioneers move to 1-11-2 overall and 0-2-1 in the WIAC.
