Titans take one from Pioneers in season finale

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team's 2019 schedule came to a close Saturday with a 4-0 loss at UW Oshkosh on J.J. Keller Field.
The Pioneers were led by junior Taylor Gamble who recorded three of the Pioneers' eight shots with two on goal. Overall, the Titans outshot the Pioneers 9-5 in the first half while taking a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute.
UW Oshkosh went on to score three goals in a 10 minute stretch during the second half and added another 14 shots in the second period to UW-Platteville's three shots.
Junior goalkeeper Kathryn Flaherty recorded eight saves in the game to bring her season total to 88 while Madelyn Runyan of UW Oshkosh recorded five saves with a clean sheet.
UW-Platteville closes out the 2019 campaign with a 2-15-2 overall record and 1-5-1- in the WIAC. UW Oshkosh improved to 8-9-1 overall, 3-4 in the WIAC, and enters the WIAC Championship Tournament as the #5 seed.
