Pioneers and Falcons end in 1-1 draw
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s soccer team remains undefeated in WIAC play as Saturday’s game against UW-River Falls in Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium concluded 1-1 after double overtime.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's soccer team remains undefeated in WIAC play as Saturday's game against UW-River Falls in Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium concluded 1-1 after double overtime.
The Pioneers (1-8-1 overall, 0-0-1 WIAC) tallied eight shots with six on frame. Hailee Sanford and Macie Alexa each recorded three shots apiece while The Falcons (7-3-0 overall, 0-0-1 WIAC) combined for a 11 shots with five on goal.
The Pioneers scored first when Emma Willard found Macie Alexa in the 37th minute. The Pioneers went into the half with the 1-0 lead, but an early goal by UW-River Falls' Camryn Altnau at 45:24 tied the night up 1-1 where it would remain through double overtime.
Goalkeeper Mariah Kennedy recorded four saves in 57 minutes of play while counterpart Haley Crosby also recorded four saves in 110 minutes.
UW-River Falls held a slight advantage on corner kicks, 3-2 while UW-Platteville tallied seven fouls to the Falcons' eight.
The Pioneers will return to action at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium when they host Viterbo on Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
