2012 UW-Platteville Volleyball News

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- For the 13th consecutive year, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville student-athletes had a higher grade-point average than the student body as a whole. The Pioneer student-athletes compiled an 2.934 grade-point average for the 2012-13 academic year, above the general student body overall grade-point average of 2.874.

UW-Platteville head volleyball coach Deb Schulman, and her miniature poodle Spencer were recently accepted on the USA Agility Team. They will compete at the Federation of International Canines Agility World Championship in Johannesburg, South Africa, Oct. 10.

As the school year winds down and final exams nearly approaching, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team took time out of their busy schedules to participate in a “how to paint and trim” clinic put on by Lowe’s in Dubuque; as a part of the Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build Week.

-- To add to her American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Midwest All-Region honor, UW-Platteville’s junior Stephanie Kirchner earned AVCA NCAA Division III honorable mention All-America honors, announced by the AVCA on Tuesday.
