The University of Wisconsin-Platteville has announced that the volleyball program will now be led by former assistant coach Samantha Birkicht. She was announced to the team as the new head coach Friday morning.

Three UW-Platteville volleyball players earned A's for their performances during the 2016 season. Outside hitters Allison Jensen and Amber Williams earned honorable mention all-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team honors, and Ashlee Moore was named to the sportsmanship team.
