Pioneers fall to Falcons and Blue Devils
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team lost to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Falcons on Friday, and the University of Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devils on Saturday, both in Williams Fieldhouse.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team lost to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls Falcons on Friday, and the University of Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devils on Saturday, both in Williams Fieldhouse.
In the Pioneers' first match of the weekend, they fell 3-1 against the UW-River Falls Falcons 17-25, 25-20, 24-26, and 15-25. Junior setter Allie Carter logged 24 assists in the four sets. Junior middle hitter Ashlee Moore and junior outside hitter Allison Jensen each recorded 10 kills for the Pioneers. Senior libero Lindsey Decker had 11 digs.
On Saturday, the Pioneers' lost 3-2 against the UW-Stout Blue Devils 26-24, 23-25, 17-25, 27-25, and 9-15. Carter recorded 46 assists the in five sets. Sophomore setter Grace Austin logged 23 digs. Meanwhile, Decker had 19 digs followed by junior outside hitter Maddie Dower with 18. Jensen recorded 14 kills while senior right side hitter Amber Williams and senior middle hitter Lidia Frias each logged 11 kills.
The Pioneers, 6-16 on the year, return to action on Wednesday, at Williams Fieldhouse vs, Lakeland at 7 p.m. for the annual "Yell Night" game as part of the UW-Platteville Sesquicentennial Homecoming celebration.
