Pioneers lose to #11 Pointers
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team lost at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in three sets 18-25, 22-25, and 12-25 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener Wednesday.

STEVENS POINT, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Platteville volleyball team lost at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in three sets 18-25, 22-25, and 12-25 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener Wednesday.
Junior setter Allie Carter recorded 17 assists for the Pioneers. Sophomore setter Grace Austin logged 12 digs. Junior outside hitter Allison Jensen had 7 kills.
The Pointers, ranked 11th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll, improved to 15-1 overall.
The Pioneers, 4-9 on the year, return to action on Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at noon. and 4 p.m. at the Cornell Classic Tournament at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa.
