What is your favorite thing about UW-Platteville? My favorite thing about UW-Platteville is how supportive the people are of each other on campus. I love how everyone on campus is so welcoming and friendly.
Why did you choose UW-Platteville? I chose UW-Platteville because it was far enough away from home for me. It forces me to branch out of my comfort zone and make new friends. Attending UW-Platteville is an experience that I thought I would never have.

River Falls, Wis. – Saturday, May 8, the Pioneers continued competition on day two of the WIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted at UW-River Falls. In team scores, the men and women’s team finished in seventh place with 50 and 45 points respectively. Placing among the top three in their events, receiving All-Conference honors are Katie Schilling, Brianna Leahy, and Alexander Walechka.

River Falls, Wis. - The UW-Platteville track and field team, traveled to UW-River Falls to compete at the 2021 WIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Friday, May 7 was the first day of the two-day championship event.

Platteville, Wis. - With one week to go until the WIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, UW-Platteville hosted the Border Battle on Friday, April 30. Several Pioneers seized the opportunity of the gorgeous spring day to improve on their season best times and marks. Teams in attendance included UW-Whitewater, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Oshkosh, and University of Dubuque.

Whitewater, Wis. – The Pioneers competed at the Drake Alternative Meet at UW-Whitewater on Saturday, April 24. Brianna Leahy extended her school record to 14.55m (47-9) and several more Pioneers saw personal bests in their events. Teams in attendance include UW-Whitewater, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Oshkosh, University of Chicago, University of Dubuque, and Carthage College.

Rock Island, Ill. – On Saturday, April 17, the Pioneers competed at the Meet of Champions hosted by Augustana College. Among the outstanding performances, junior Brianna Leahy won the women’s shot put and set a new school record of 14.13m (46-4.25).

Platteville, Wis. – Battling adverse weather conditions, the Pioneers hosted the UW-Platteville Invitational on Saturday, April 10.

Whitewater, Wis. – The Pioneers competed at the Rex Foster Twilight Meet at UW-Whitewater on Friday, April 2, 2021. Gwen Orr breaks the 100m dash school record, and several other Pioneers make advances on the Pioneer All-Time Top-Ten List.

Platteville, Wis. – It had been quite some time since the UW-Platteville Pioneers competed in an outdoor track and field meet. In fact, it had been over a year since the Pioneers had hosted a home track and field event. However, on Saturday, March 27, all that changed.

Platteville, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneers men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams will travel to UW-Whitewater to compete in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s last chance meet on Saturday, March 6.

Whitewater, Wis. – The Pioneers competed in one last regular season dual against the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater Warhawks. In anticipation for the last indoor meet of the season, Pioneers were chasing down opportunities to see personal bests, but also rank in the top 12 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). The top 12 student-athletes in each event on the performance list will be competing at one last meet at UW-Whitewater to give a finale to the unusual 2021 indoor track and field season.

Stevens Point, Wis. – The Pioneers traveled to the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point for the third dual indoor track and field of the 2021 season. Several Pioneers set new personal best and season best performances.

Stevens Point, Wis. – The Pioneers and Pointers came together this weekend to compete at the second indoor track and field dual meet of the season. Traveling up to UW – Stevens Point, the UW – Platteville men’s and women’s track and field teams saw many improvements from the week 1 competition. For the underclassmen, the dual meet setting continues to serve as a learning opportunity.

Whitewater, Wis. – It had been 337 days since the University of Wisconsin – Platteville track and field team competed in a meet. Without a doubt, student-athletes and coaches alike were excited to take to the track today and get back into competition mode. The Pioneers traveled to the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater Saturday, Feb. 6 to compete in a dual meet against the Warhawks. Given the nature of the small setting, it was a perfect opportunity for underclassmen as well as upperclassmen to become in tune with their current fitness levels.
