The event will celebrate the achievements of Pioneer women student-athletes while financially enhancing the eight NCAA women sports programs at UW-Platteville.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Seven members of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville football team were named to the College Sport Communicators (CSC) 2024 Academic All-District Team on Tuesday afternoon. Juniors Will Straka, Joshua Zitzer, and Trevor Syse, and sophomores Benjamin Younker, Jaxson Garbisch, Cormac Sammons, and Harrison Meyer were the seven recognized by the CSC.

Wide receiver Brandt Stare and punter Benjamin Younker were named All-Region First Team, with quarterback Michael Priami and defensive lineman Aidan Sproule tabbed Second Team.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – For the third time in program history and first since 2016, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville football team earned an invitation to the NCAA DIII Playoffs. The Pioneers learned they would receive a first round bye and then hit the road on Saturday, November 30 for Wartburg College. Kickoff is scheduled for noon at Walston-Hoover Stadium.

MENOMONIE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville football team put all tiebreaker scenarios aside as the Pioneers defeated UW-Stout 46-38 to clinch the outright WIAC Title and earn the conference’s automatic qualifier to the 2024 NCAA DIII Championships. UW-Platteville will be making its third appearance in the NCAA Playoffs and first since 2016.

Using a big-play offense, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville football team secured at least a share of the 2024 WIAC football title, defeating UW-Eau Claire 56-14 at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium. It is the 15th title in program history and first since 1980.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis – The No. 8 nationally ranked University of Wisconsin-Platteville football team (7-1, 4-1 WIAC) picked up a 42-14 win on the road Saturday at UW-Stevens Point (1-7, 0-5 WIAC). The Pioneers took an early 21-0 lead and finished the day with 21 unanswered points at Community Stadium at Goerke Field.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Trailing 10-7 into the fourth quarter, No. 8 University of Wisconsin-Platteville scored 10 unanswered points to capture Saturday’s thrilling 17-10 victory over No. 19 UW-Whitewater at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium. With the win in the 31st installment of the George Chryst Memorial Bowl against the Warhawks (4-3, 2-2 WIAC), the Pioneers (6-1, 3-1 WIAC) bring the Miner’s Axe back to Platteville.

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The No. 6 nationally ranked University of Wisconsin-Platteville football team (5-1, 2-1 WIAC) suffered its first loss of the season to No. 16 UW-Oshkosh on Saturday afternoon at Titan Stadium. The Pioneers led 10-3 at halftime, but a fourth quarter comeback fell short as UW-Platteville looked to recover after the Titans (4-2, 2-1 WIAC) scored 21 straight points to start the second half.
