Pearson averaged 22.0 points per game on a 61.5 field goal percentage as the Pioneers opened the season with wins over Saint Mary's (Minn.) and Gustavus Adolphus. The senior scored 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting on Friday night in the win over the Cardinals before posting 25 points on 8-of-14 on Saturday against the Gusties. Pearson added 2.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game and was strong on the defensive end with three blocks on Friday and three steals on Saturday.

Mackiewicz averaged 11.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game as the Pioneers went 1-1 at the Hope College Tip-Off Tournament this past weekend. The sophomore tallied 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting to go along with five rebounds, one block, and two steals in a 72-45 win over Marian (Wis.) on Friday night. She followed that up with 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting with two more steals in the loss to Hope on Saturday. For the week, Mackiewicz shot 52.9% across 21.8 minutes per game.
