MADISON, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin–Platteville's Robert Duax was named to the 2016–17 All–Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men's Basketball Team, chosen by the league’s coaches and announced by league office on Wednesday.

PLATTEVILLE — The UW–Platteville men’s basketball team gave visiting fourth-ranked UW–River Falls all it could handle in Saturday night’s Senior Night season finale.

STEVENS POINT — The UW–Platteville men’s basketball team shot 47 percent from 3-point land Wednesday night, connecting on 8 of 17 from beyond the arc, but it couldn’t help end the Pioneers recent struggles.

OSHKOSH — Sophomore guard Robert Duax topped the 20-point for the third straight game Saturday night, pouring in a team-high 28 points but visiting UW–Platteville suffered a 77–69 loss at UW–Oshkosh.

PLATTEVILLE — Senior guard Trey Sigel caught fire Wednesday night, scoring all 17 of his points in the second half but the host UW–Platteville Pioneers only got as close at 12 points in a 83–66 conference loss to UW–Eau Claire.

LA CROSSE — Sophomore Robert Duax (Dubuque/Hempstead) scored a team-high 22 points and grabbed six rebounds, but it couldn’t end UW–Platteville’s losing streak.

PLATTEVILLE — The UW–Platteville men’s basketball team couldn’t shake its recent losing streak Wednesday night.

PLATTEVILLE — After spending most of the first half on the bench in foul trouble, sophomore guard Robert Duax (Dubuque/Hempstead) scored 13 of his team-high 16 points in the second half to lead UW–Platteville’s valiant comeback effort.

EAU CLAIRE — Sophomore Robert Duax (Dubuque/Hempstead) scored a team-high 22 points, hit four 3-pointers and came up with five steals, but the UW–Platteville men’s basketball team came out on the wrong side of a 83–58 decision at UW–Eau Claire Wednesday night.

PLATTEVILLE — Senior forward Cory Vaassen (Dickeyville/Cuba City) scored a season-high 21 points and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds to lead the UW–Platteville men's basketball team Saturday night, but the Pioneers couldn't hold off visiting UW–La Crosse.
