PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Seniors Brett Schoenherr, Nathan Wynsma, and Coy Ruess of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team were named to the 2023 NCAA Division III Academic All-District At-Large Team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Monday.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – Five members of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team earned National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division III Scholar All-America honors for the 2022-23 season. Seniors Brett Schoenherr, Zach Thompson, Nathan Wynsma and Coy Ruess, and sophomore Tyler Hannah each collected the academic honor.

MEQUON, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team finished fifth at the NCAA DIII Upper Midwest Regional Saturday at Concordia University Wisconsin. Sophomore Tyler Hannah and freshman Aiden Brosinski qualified for the 2023 NCAA Championships while Hannah won the 197 title.

Mequon, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team sits 4 of 19 teams after the first day of competition at the NCAA Division III Upper Midwest Regional, hosted by Concordia Wisconsin. Seven Pioneers advance to the final day of competition in hopes of securing a top-three finish in order to qualify for the National Championships. Over the course of the day, the Pioneers collectively tallied eight falls, four technical falls and one major decision.

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team finished fourth of six teams at the 68th Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Wrestling Championship (presented by Culver's) Saturday in Quandt Fieldhouse. Sophomore Tyler Hannah and senior Nathan Wynsma advanced to championship matches where they finished runner-ups while six more wrestlers placed in the top-six.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team put on a show Friday night inside the Center for the Arts Richard and Helen Brodbeck Concert Hall in the Throwdown in the Theatre. The special event featured a dominant performance by the Pioneers who pummeled the Augustana Vikings 36-13.

LOUISVILLE, KY. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team split a pair of duals on the final day of competition at the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals Saturday afternoon. A rally victory early in the day set the Pioneers up against conference rival UW-Eau Claire in a battle for 13th place overall. The Blugolds pulled out a 19-17 win for UW-Platteville to finish the tournament 14 of 24 teams.

LOUISVILLE, KY. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team finished 1-2 after the first day of competition of the National Wrestling Coaches Association National Duals in the Kentucky Exposition Center. The #14 ranked Pioneers’ two losses fell to pair of fellow ranked opponents, #7 ranked Wabash College and #17 ranked Castleton University.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team swept the UW-Stevens Point Pointers 40-0 Wednesday night in Williams Fieldhouse. Aiden Brosinski and Brett Schoenherr walked away with pins while Kasey Ross’ tech fall and major decisions by Nolan McKittrick and Kyler Neuberger led the way for the dominant performance.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team opened its WIAC schedule Thursday night in Williams Fieldhouse against No. 7 ranked UW-Whitewater. The rivals tied 16-16 with each team winning five bouts, but the Warhawks slipped away with the one-point win be means of a 53-46 match point tiebreaker.

OLIVET, Mich. – The No. 18 nationally ranked University of Wisconsin-Platteville wrestling team competed Saturday in four individual duals, including three against other Top 25 teams at the Olivet Duals. UW-Platteville outscored their opponents 95-65 on the day including seven pin falls, two technical falls and four major decisions.
