Platteville, Wis. - With one week to go until the WIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, UW-Platteville hosted the Border Battle on Friday, April 30. Several Pioneers seized the opportunity of the gorgeous spring day to improve on their season best times and marks. Teams in attendance included UW-Whitewater, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Oshkosh, and University of Dubuque.

Platteville, Wis. – It had been quite some time since the UW-Platteville Pioneers competed in an outdoor track and field meet. In fact, it had been over a year since the Pioneers had hosted a home track and field event. However, on Saturday, March 27, all that changed.

Stevens Point, Wis. – The Pioneers and Pointers came together this weekend to compete at the second indoor track and field dual meet of the season. Traveling up to UW – Stevens Point, the UW – Platteville men’s and women’s track and field teams saw many improvements from the week 1 competition. For the underclassmen, the dual meet setting continues to serve as a learning opportunity.

Whitewater, Wis. – It had been 337 days since the University of Wisconsin – Platteville track and field team competed in a meet. Without a doubt, student-athletes and coaches alike were excited to take to the track today and get back into competition mode. The Pioneers traveled to the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater Saturday, Feb. 6 to compete in a dual meet against the Warhawks. Given the nature of the small setting, it was a perfect opportunity for underclassmen as well as upperclassmen to become in tune with their current fitness levels.
