PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- For the 13th consecutive year, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville student-athletes had a higher grade-point average than the student body as a whole. The Pioneer student-athletes compiled an 2.934 grade-point average for the 2012-13 academic year, above the general student body overall grade-point average of 2.874.

The American Cancer Society’s 6th Annual Coaches vs. Cancer Wisconsin Gala was held on Saturday May 4th. Over 700 attendees filled the Kohl Center in downtown Madison to show support for Coaches vs. Cancer Wisconsin. In total over $640,000 were raised, making Madison the host of the #1 Coaches vs. Cancer event in the nation.

Madison, Wis. – The UW-Platteville junior Chas Cross was named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Year, while sophomore Jake Manning earned honorable mention honors. Senior Rob Stallion was named All-Defensive Team and senior Marcus Jackson is the Pioneers' representative on the All-Sportsmanship Team.

WHITEWATER, Wis. - In a tale of two halves, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s basketball team fell to UW-Whitewater, 66-55, in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletics Conference Tournament Championship Game on Saturday night in Kachel Gym.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Athletic Department is planning a FAN BUS for Saturday’s WIAC Championship Game to UW-Whitewater. The bus will depart from Williams Fieldhouse at 3 p.m. and will stop at Rick’s in Whitewater for dinner. Game time in Whitewater is scheduled for 7 p.m.
