Cross Named NABC West District Player of the Year
UW-Platteville junior Chas Cross was named National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III West District Player of the Year selected by member coaches of the NABC on Monday.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville junior Chas Cross was named National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division III West District Player of the Year on Monday, selected by member coaches of the NABC.
The Winnebago, Ill. native, was named D3hoops.com first team All-West Region last week to go with his Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Player of the Year honor last month. Cross led the conference in points (15.8 ppg.), rebounds (8.5 rpg.), and free throw attempts (137). He ranked second in blocks (46), fourth in field goal percentage (.564), 10th in steals (1.32 spg.) and 13thin free throw percentage (.677) in the WIAC.
Cross is now one of eight finalists for NABC's National Player of the Year.
