Coaches vs. Cancer Suits & Sneakers Challenge on Saturday
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – UW-Platteville men's basketball team will be participating in the 6th annual Coaches vs. Cancer Wisconsin Suits and Sneakers Challenge on Saturday when the Pioneers square off with UW-Rivera Falls at 3 p.m.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team will be participating in the 6th annual Coaches vs. Cancer Wisconsin Suits and Sneakers Challenge on Saturday when the Pioneers square off with UW-River Falls at 3 p.m.
Head coach Jeff Gard and assistants Brad Stangel, Jamison Rusthoven and Matt Weik will wear sneakers during Saturday's game to help raise awareness about the fight against cancer and promote the American Cancer Society as a place for people facing cancer to turn to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The National Suits and Sneakers Event challenges worksites of all sizes, and basketball fans across the nation to participate. Join your co-workers, friends and favorite teams in the fight against cancer. Talk to your boss about declaring a Suits and Sneakers Day at work. Individuals make a donation to Coaches vs. Cancer for the oportunity to wear sneakers to work for a day (January 25-28). All donations will go directly to cancer research.
