The women?s team along with five individuals of the UW-Platteville Track and Field teams were acknowledged by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association in the organization?s 2015 NCAA Division III All-Academic Honors.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The women qualified three athletes for nationals and the men took home a number of individual and team medals in an impressive outdoor track and field showing on Friday and Saturday. The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Track and Field Championships was held at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex in La Crosse, Wis. The Pioneer women’s team took sixth place overall with a total of 74.5 points and the men took seventh with 54.

ST. Louis, Mo. – The women’s track and field team finished sixth and the men’s fourth at the Washington University Invitational, a national meet including more than 25 schools from around the country, on March 27 and 28.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The University of Wisconsin-Platteville track and field team was well represented at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championship.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. -- Sophomore jumper Amber Williams made history for the Pioneer Track and Field team once again following the Feb. 28 WIAC Championships held at UW-Platteville. The Milwaukee, Wis. native did so well that she garnered Field Performer of the Meet honors for her first place finishes in the long jump and triple jump events, a feat that has never been accomplished by a Pioneer.

UW-Platteville’s Joel Walden and Matt Smaga competed in the 3,000-meter run on Friday night at the Leonard “Squig” Converse Invitational in Whitewater.

UW-Platteville's Garrett Riggs and Amber Williams were both named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Indoor Field Athlete of Week, announced by the league office on Tuesday.
