Bio

Patrick Knap is entering his first year at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Knap joined the Pioneer staff as a Graduate Assistant in the Fall of 2023.

A Chicago, Illinois Native, Knap graduated from William Howard Taft High School where he received All-Chicago Public School 1st Team and IHSA All-Sectional 1st Team honors during his senior year in 2017. He went on to a standout collegiate career playing as a forward for North Park University. He played in a total of 55 games, making 24 starts in 3 years. During Knap’s 2019 season at North Park, the team was ranked #5 in the nation and ranked #2 in the region, the team also reached the NCAA tournament making it to the Round of 16. During his 2021 season, the team would reach an even higher status being ranked #4 in the nation while being ranked #2 in the region. They would conclude their 2021 season by making it all the way to the Round of 8 in the NCAA Tournament with a loss at the University of Chicago.

Knap would go on and graduate from North Park University in May of 2022 with undergraduate degrees in Business Nonprofit and Economics.

Following his collegiate career, Knap would coach at Chicago Fire SC. He worked closely with teams in their Youth Academy. He was responsible for developing players in all facets of the game
