Rinderknecht and Bitter earn First Team All-Region
Two Pioneers have been recognized for leading the Pioneers to an outstanding season and a second round appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Logan Rinderknecht and Tommy Bitter have been named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-North Region.
Two Pioneers have been recognized for leading the Pioneers to an outstanding season and a second round appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Logan Rinderknecht and Tommy Bitter have been named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-North Region First Team.
Rinderknecht was named to the All-North Region First Team after being named Seond Team in 2017 and Third team in 2016. Rinderknecht's 10 goals and 24 points led the Pioneers for the third consecutive season. Rinderknecht had four game winning goals on the year. The Cedar Rapids, Iowa native tallied at least 17 points in all four of his seasons at UW-Platteville.
Bitter, also named to the All-North Region First Team, was one of three defenders named to the First Team. Bitter finished the season with four goals (two game winning goals), despite spending most of his time on the defensive side of the field. The Dubuque, Iowa native, started and played in all 19 games for the Pioneers and was a defensive leader throughout the season.
