Three Pioneers earn All-State honors
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Ian Christensen, Brad Streich, and Mboje Sarr were all selected to the All-Wisconsin State team.
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville's Ian Christensen, Brad Streich, and Mbodje Sarr were all selected to the All-Wisconsin State team.
Christensen was named second team goalkeeper and was joined by defender Streich to the second team. Sarr garnered honorable mention honor as a midfielder/forward.
Christensen was awarded all-region honors earlier this week. The senior recorded 4.2 shutouts with a 1.35 goals against average and made 68 saves. He ended is career in the Orange and Blue with the programs' third best goals against average of 0.95.
Streich anchored the defense that recorded six shutouts and posted a 1.30 goals against average. The junior defender from De Pere, Wis., was named first team all-WIAC last month.
Sarr led the Pioneers with a .245 shot percentage, scoring six times on 24 shots. He ended the year with 15 points and was awarded second team all-WIAC honors in November.
