PLATTEVILLE, WIS. – In what looked like a game which could have been played further into March, the University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s basketball team (23-5) ranked No. 8 on the D3hoops.com poll, saw the 2019-20 season come to a close in the second round of the NCAA DIII Men’s Basketball Championship at the hands of the No. 4 ranked University of Saint Thomas (26-3). With just seconds on the clock, the Tommies held onto their one possession lead to defeat the Pioneers 73-70. The pairing on Bo Ryan Court was the lone game played in the second round of the tournament to feature two Top 10 teams.

Platteville, Wis.-The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s basketball program claimed the program’s 21st Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship with a pair of victories against UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stevens Point. The Pioneers (22-3, 12-2 WIAC) are currently ranked #6 in the latest d3hoops.com national poll and ranked #1 in the Central region. The Pioneers will enter the WIAC tournament (presented by Culver’s) as the number one seed and host a semi-final game on Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. on Bo Ryan Court.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s basketball program (21-3, 11-2 WIAC) ranked No. 7 on the D3hoops.com poll, defeated UW-Eau Claire (17-7, 8-5 WIAC) 80-56 on Wednesday night at Zorn Arena. With the victory, the Pioneers secured at minimum a share of the WIAC regular season championship.

Senior Carter Voelker scored the game-winning basket with :03 remaining to give the Pioneers the 69-67 victory.

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team (12-1, 2-0 WIAC) ranked No. 9 on the D3hoops.com poll, defeated UW-Oshkosh (7-6, 1-1 WIAC) Wednesday night to improve to 2-0 in conference play.

BELTON, Texas. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's basketball team (10-0) ranked No. 9 on the D3hoops.com poll, defeated LeTourneau (6-2) on Friday afternoon in the 2019 Cru Classic.
