Bio

Ryanne Breckenridge started at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in 2006. Breckenridge received her Bachelor’s Degree in athletic training from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa and her Master’s Degree in physical education and athletic administration from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. She holds certification as an Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and is licensed to practice in Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois. She is also certified by American Red Cross as a Professional Rescuer and holds an Instructor Certification for Lay/Professional Rescuer as well as Bloodborne Pathogens for the American Red Cross.

Breckenridge has published joint work on concussion research in the International Journal of Immunopathology and Pharmacology and the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and Science in Sports in 2016 and 2018, respectively. She continues to work on scholarly research for future publication.

Breckenridge serves as Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Services,  Director for Sports Medicine and Performance as well as being SWA and a Health and Human Performance lecturer. She teaches a variety of classes including Advanced Athletic Training, First Aid/Accident Prevention/Community CPR, Personal Conditioning, Weightlifting, and Injury Prevention and Treatment.
