Pioneer Women finish eighth at WIAC Championships
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville freshman Kiera Depies led the Pioneers to an eighth-place finish at the WIAC Cross Country Championships at Cole Acres Golf Course in Cuba City, Wis. Depies crossed the line with the time of 24:01.3, placing 48th overall.
UW-Eau Claire captured its sixth straight WIAC team title, with five Blugolds placing in the top 10, earning 32 points.
UW-Oshkosh's Christy Cazzola passed UW-Eau Claire's Ashlyn Mauer with approximately 200 meters to the finish, placing first in a time of 21:16.0.
UW-Platteville served as host for the championships.
Finishing behind Depies was senior Megan Knutson, who finished in a time of 24:07.6. Freshman Connie Spyropoulos finished with a time of 24:55.7, senior Olivia Bukowski in 25:13.3, Allison Wells wrapped up the team's points with a time of 25:14.2. Sophomore Jocelyn Orner came in with a time of 25:29.5, and freshman Teagan Seneczko ran a time of 25:43.1.

The Pioneers will go one to compete at the NCAA Division III Regional Meet Nov. 10 on the Winneconne Golf Course in Oshkosh, Wis.
