Pioneers compete at Georgianni Blugold Invite
ALTOONA, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team finished seventh out of 11 teams at UW-Eau Claire’s Georgianni Blugold Invite at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club. The Pioneers finished with a 36-hole team score of 687 after rounds of 340 on Saturday and 347 on Sunday.

Senior Josie Alm finished in the top 10 as an individual with a 36-hole score of 165, shooting 81 the first round and 84 the second round.
Sophomore Taylor Swalve tied for 25th place, shooting 86 both rounds for a two-day total of 172.
Three Pioneers tied for 36th place shooting a 36-hole team score of 178. Sophomore Madison Berg shot 85 and 93, freshman Danielle Bruecker shot 88 and 90 and junior Jada Chang shot 91 and improved with a round of 87 on Sunday.
Also competing for the Pioneers was freshman Gabriella Ziegler finishing tied for 53rd with 186 (91, 95) and junior Emma Cage shooting 213 (103, 110).
The Pioneers will return to action in a week when they compete at the Loras Invite on Sunday and Monday, Sept. 17-18 at The Meadows Golf Course in Dubuque, Iowa.
