Pioneers compete at UW–La Crosse and Viterbo Invites
La Crosse, WI – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s golf team finished sixth out of ten teams after one round at the UW-La Crosse Invite at La Crosse Country Club on September 11. The team posted a score of 360 after 18 holes.The Pioneers also competed in La Crosse at the Viterbo Invite on September 12. The team finished in eighth place out ten teams shooting a team score of 378 after one round. Senior Markie Ash finished tied for first place out of 58 golfers shooting 79.

Senior Markie Ash finished tied for first place out of 58 golfers shooting 79.
Senior Cortney Olsen finished tied 22nd after shooting 91. Freshman Jada Chang finished tied 28th shooting 93. Senior Emily Veenhuis shot 97 and freshman Miranda Roemer shot 103.
The Pioneers also competed in La Crosse at the Viterbo Invite on September 12. The team finished in eighth place out ten teams shooting a team score of 378 after one round.
Senior Markie Ash led the way for the Pioneers shooting 83 after one round finishing tied for sixth. Senior Cortney Olsen shot 89 finishing tied 17th.
Rounding out the Pioneers top five were freshman Jada Chang (102), Senior Emily Veenhuis (104), and freshman Miranda Roemer (111).
The Pioneers tee it up next at the UW-Whitewater Fall Invite in Janesville, Wisconsin on Friday September 24.
