UWP scores another win

The UW-Platteville women's basketball team won its second game of the Ripon Tip-off Tournament 88-77 against the Ripon Red Hawks. The Pioneers are now 2-0 for the start of the season.
With a total of 23 points and 14 rebounds, Lisa Grantman was the top scorer for UWP. Lisa Wubben followed with 18 points. Both Grantman and Wubben earned all-tournament honors. Freshman Charity Stotmeister added 16 points.
Ripon's Amanda Lindhuer contributed 13 points and Ashley Kaminski gave 12 points for the Red Hawks.
The Pioneers kept ahead of the Red Hawks by one point at the end of the first half, 29-28, then shot 68 percent in the second half.
UW-Platteville will play next on the road against Augustana College on Monday, November 20 at 7:30 pm.
