Pioneers fall to Blue Devils

UW-Stout held UW-Platteville to two free throws over the final 6:09 and came back to beat the Pioneers 61-52 Saturday in Williams Fieldhouse.
The Pioneers led 50-49 on Liz Tesch's layup before the Blue Devils put the clamps on them. Kesley Duoss's basket in the paint gave Stout the lead for good at 51-50 nine seconds after Tesch's basket.
Duoss led the Blue Devils (11-6, 6-3 WIAC) with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while Lindsey Geissler added 11 points.
Holly Kaiser led the Pioneers (8-9, 4-5) with 12 points, while Tesch and Rachel Korth each had 11 points and six rebounds. Lisa Grantman totalled eights in both points and rebounds.
The back-and-forth contest featured four ties and 10 lead changes.
