Pioneers win in Indiana

UW-Platteville's inside game was too much for Earlham Thursday, as the Pioneers posted a 63-52 victory at the Indiana school.

Center Liz Tesch and forward Rachel Korth each scored 14 points, while Holly Kaiser scored 12 in helping the Pioneers to their third win the their last four games.

The Pioneers held a commanding 42-27 advantage on the boards, including 17-5 on the offensive end. Korth grabbed nine rebounds, while first-year players Lisa Grantman and Jena Dietzman each had seven for the Pioneers, now 6-4 on the year.

Janee Covington scored a game-high 19 for Earlham, who fell to 2-10.

UWP concludes its holiday trip with a game Friday at 1 p.m. at Thomas More (Ky.). The Saints edged the Pioneers 61-60 last season in Williams Fieldhouse.
