Pioneers vs. UW-Stout

UW-Stout won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship and the top seed in the upcoming post-season tournament by defeating UW-Platteville 68-54 Saturday in Menomonie.

The Blue Devils will tie the winner of tonight's UW-Stevens Point vs. UW-Oshkosh game for first place but earned the top seed based on tie-breakers. The Point-Oshkosh winner is the second seed and will play host to UW-Platteville Monday night in the first round.

The Blue Devils are 19-6 overall and 12-4 in the WIAC, while the Pioneers finish the regular season at 13-12, 6-10.

Holly Kaiser matched her career high with 20 points, reaching that number for the third time, while Lisa Wubben added 12 points, and Liz Tesch had eight points and a game-high 12 rebounds for the Pioneers.

Lindsey Erichsen scored 15 points, while Jenny McDermid had 12 and Kelsey Duoss 11 for Stout, who became the first school to come back from a 1-3 conference start to claim the title.
