Pioneers vs. UW-Stout

UW-Stout used a 10-0 late in the game to break a 62-62 tie as the Blue Devils defeated UW-Platteville 76-67 Wednesday in Williams Fieldhouse.

Six-foot-2 center Kelsey Duoss had six of her game-high 24 points during that decisive run. Erin Churchill added 13 points, and Savanah Oeltjen had 11 for the Blue Devils (12-5 overall, 5-3 in the WIAC).

Holly Kaiser and Shannon Boatman each scored 19, while Lisa Wubben added 10 for the Pioneers (10-6, 3-5).

UWP led by as many as 13 in the first half, 27-14, before settling for a 32-25 halftime lead. Stout's Lindsey Erichsen, held scoreless in the first half, scored the first hoop of the second period to become the seventh player in Blue Devil history to surpass 1,000 career points.

The Pioneers continue their homestand Saturday vs. UW-Eau Claire, beginning at 5 p.m.
