The ability to compete and play the game I love everyday with people I enjoy.

What is your nickname? How did you get it and who gave it to you?

Rach. It has been my nickname since I was a kid.

Who are the role models in your life and why?

My mom, dad, and brother are my role models. They inspire me everyday to unapologetically chase my dreams, speak my mind, and live a life to positively impact others.

Who or what inspired you to play basketball and why?

I have always loved basketball, but Pat Summit has always inspired me to compete and leave it all on the floor.

What advice would you give to future pioneers?

Enjoy the process. Love the ability to show up every day to compete and get better, the rest will come.

If you won a million dollars what would you buy?

Plane tickets for all over the world for me and my family.

What is one of the things you would put on your bucket list?

Run a half-marathon in every state with my mom (4 down, 46 to go).

What place would you like to visit most?

Greece.

What are your hobbies away from basketball?

Running half marathons with my mom and reading.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team (12-13, 4-10 WIAC) fell 85-78 to UW-Stevens Point (10-15, 5-9 WIAC) on Bo Ryan Court in the 2019-20 season finale. Both teams entered the game with the sixth seed of the WIAC Tournament on the line, and it was UW-Stevens Point that pulled ahead late in the first half and narrowly held on for the post season tournament berth. A total of 52 points were scored from the free-throw line in Saturday's game while UW-Stevens Point finished 29-of-36 to the Pioneers’ 23-of-32.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s basketball team (11-9, 3-6 WIAC) dropped Wednesday night’s game 76-50 at No. 23 UW-La Crosse (15-5, 6-3 WIAC) in Mitchell Hall. After leading 31-29 at the half, UW-La Crosse used a 13-2 run to take the lead in the third quarter and led for the remainder of the game.

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team (9-6, 1-3 WIAC) defeated UW-Stevens Point (7-8, 2-2 WIAC) 65-62 in overtime Wednesday night in Berg Gym. After a slow start, a big second quarter propelled the Pioneers into overtime, all while senior Maiah Domask recorded a fifth double-double of the season with a career high 26 points.

Junior Maiah Domask recorded her third double-double in four games with 21 points and 10 rebounds in Monday evening's game.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team (7-2, 0-0 WIAC) cruised past Lakeland University (3-7, 3-2 NACC), 78-40, Friday night on Bo Ryan Court. During Youth Night in Williams Fieldhouse, the Pioneers defeated the Muskies in their final non-conference home game of the season and teamed with Go4TheGoal Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting those battling pediatric cancer. Both teams wore yellow shoe laces and the fans raised $578 for Go4TheGoal as junior Maiah Domask recorded her second straight double-double.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team (5-1) suffered its first loss of the 2019-20 season to Coe College (4-2) on Bo Ryan Court. After winning back-to-back games to two pre-season ranked teams, the Pioneers broke into the D3hoops.com national rankings for the first time in program history. In Saturday's matchup, the Pioneers and Kohawks swapped the lead seven times and saw a combined 38 turnovers.

MEQUON, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team (2-0) held on for its first road win of the season, 75-68, at Concordia University Wisconsin (0-1) Tuesday night. After leading by 20 points earlier in the game, the Pioneers held off the Falcons to the very end as CUW trailed by just one point with 00:47 to go in the game. Senior guard Morgan Horstman hit double digits in the first quarter and finished the night with 26 points.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s basketball team opened the 2019-20 season with a 78-44 win over Finlandia University (0-2) on Bo Ryan Court Sunday afternoon. Junior guard Maiah Domask led the way for the Pioneers dishing out 24 points in the home opener while first season head coach, Kelly McNiff recorded her first career victory against the Lions.

The 2019-20 University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s basketball team will look to build off last season’s conference tournament appearance with new faces roaming the sidelines, but many familiar faces on the court. Kelly McNiff joins the Pioneer family as head coach. She comes from UW Oshkosh, where she served as a lead assistant the past six years.
