My dad inspired me because I have always watched him coach and play. When I was younger I would always enjoy going to open gyms and watching the older kids play and I knew I wanted to be like them.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team (12-12, 4-9 WIAC) fell 65-47 to UW-Eau Claire (16-8, 10-3 WIAC) on Wednesday night on Bo Ryan Court. The Pioneers in collaboration with the Grant County Cancer Coalition raised over $1,600 for local cancer patients and families while the teams wore pink gear in recognition of the night’s event cancer awareness game.

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s basketball team (11-9, 3-6 WIAC) dropped Wednesday night’s game 76-50 at No. 23 UW-La Crosse (15-5, 6-3 WIAC) in Mitchell Hall. After leading 31-29 at the half, UW-La Crosse used a 13-2 run to take the lead in the third quarter and led for the remainder of the game.

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team (11-8, 3-5 WIAC) defeated UW-Oshkosh (11-8, 4-4 WIAC) for the first time since the 2011-12 season with a 69-65 overtime win. The women’s team’s overtime victory at the Kolf Sports Center and the men’s 91-87 win in double overtime on Bo Ryan Court marks the first time the women’s and men’s teams went into overtime on the same night since January 23, 2002, coincidentally against UW-Oshkosh.

After a slow start, a big second quarter propelled the Pioneers into overtime, all while senior Maiah Domask recorded a fifth double-double of the season with a career high 26 points.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team (8-6, 0-3 WIAC) fell 73-58 at UW-Eau Claire (7-6, 2-1 WIAC) Saturday afternoon in Zorn Arena. After an exciting first half, the Pioneers led by a narrow margin of four, but a 17-3 streak early in the third quarter allowed the Blugolds to pull away in the second half for the win.

DUBUQUE, Iowa. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team (8-2, 0-0 WIAC) defeated Lawrence University (4-4, 1-1 MAC), 74-56 in game one of the Loras College Holiday Tournament. Loras College and North Park University make up the two remaining teams in the two-day tournament.
