Pioneers fall to Eagles at home
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team fell 75-66 to University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Saturday.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team fell 75-66 to University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Saturday.
The Pioneers fall to 9-11 overall (3-6 WIAC) while the Eagles improve to 18-3 overall (7-3 WIAC).
The score was tied 22-22 atfer one quarter in which the Pioneers shot a blistering 90 percent (9-of-10) from the field and 2-of-2 from the free throw line. Sophomore Maiah Domask shot 3-of-3 from the field and scored seven points in the first quarter. In the second quarter, senior Kassie Hansen and junior Morgan Horstman each had seven points. Entering halftime the Pioneers trailed 42-41.
The Eagles increased the lead to 10 points by the third quarter and the Pioneers weren't able to eliminate the deficiit in the fourth quarter.
Sophomore Caitlyn Tipton led the team with 14 points and went 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Domask finished with a double double (11 points, 10 rebounds). Hansen finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds and led the team with four assists.
The Pioneers host UW-Eau Claire on Monday, February 4 at 7 p.m. on Bo Ryan Court.
