Pioneers roll past Red Hawks
RIPON, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women’s basketball team defeated Ripon College Red Hawks 60-53 on Tuesday night in Weiske Gymnasium.

RIPON, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team defeated Ripon College Red Hawks 60-53 on Tuesday night in Weiske Gymnasium.
The Pioneers (1-2) took the lead over the Red Hawks (0-4) early in the first half and never looked back. Morgan Horstman and Rachel Emendorfer led the scoring attack in the first half. Horstman tallied 11 points (5-6 FG) while Emendorfer added seven points and two assists.
Maiah Domask took over the scoring load and scored 13 of her 17 points in the second half. Domask also tallied eight rebounds, an assist, and two steals.
On the night, Horstman had 18 points, four rebounds, and two steals while Domask followed closely behind with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and three steals.
Defensively, Emendorfer finished the night with a team high six steals.
Ripon was led by Maggie Oimoen and Natalie Geiger who both tallied 12 points.
The Pioneers return to action this weekend when they travel to the UW-La Crosse Tournament and face Augsburg on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Finlandia on Sunday at 3 p.m.
