MADISON, Wis. – Loras College handed the University of Wisconsin-Platteville women's basketball team its first loss of the season, 65-51, on Sunday at the Ted Wehr Edgedome.
The Pioneers didn't get off to a good start, missing six of their first seven shots, and fell behind 14-2. UW-Platteville couldn't find a run in the first half and trailed 31-23 at halftime.
The Duhawks opened the second half with a 18-3 run, making it a 21-point game with 11:27 to play. The Pioneers missed all seven three-point attempts in the final half and went 2-for-20 on the day. A couple of late buckets by the Pioneers made it a 14-point game, 65-51.
Junior Alyssa Krajco led the Pioneers for the second straight game with 15 points and added six rebounds. Stacy Clark was the only other Pioneer to score in double figures with 13.
The Pioneers travel to Coe on Wednesday with tipoff set for 7 p.m.
