Pioneers Streak Snapped By Oles
NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s soccer team (10-1-4) dropped its first match of the season with a 2-0 decision against no. 17-ranked St. Olaf on Tuesday afternoon at Rolf Melby Field in Northfield, Minnesota.

NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team (10-1-4) dropped its first match of the season with a 2-0 decision against no. 17-ranked St. Olaf on Tuesday afternoon at Rolf Melby Field in Northfield, Minnesota.
Both goals for St. Olaf came via penalty kicks, with one in each half. The goals were scored in the 32nd and 60th minutes, as Victor Gaulmin netted both for the Oles.
Sophomore goalkeeper Seth Aiken finished with seven saves on nine shots faced, his second-most in a match this season. The Pioneers allowed multiple goals in a game for the first time since September 7.
UW-Platteville finished with three shots, with one apiece for senior Jack Gentilli, freshman Parker Boatman, and junior Lucas Schoeneberg. Gentilli was credited with the Pioneers lone shot on goal.
The Oles totaled 19 shots in the match, including nine on goal. Nine different players recorded at least one shot for St. Olaf, led by five from Gaulmin.
The Pioneers return home for the final two matches of the season next week, starting with a 4 p.m. contest against St. Scholastica on Tuesday.
