Pioneers Extend Unbeaten Streak To Fourteen With Win
ELSAH, Ill. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s soccer team (10-0-4) moved its unbeaten streak to 14 games with 3-0 win over Principia (2-9-1) on Saturday afternoon at Principia Soccer Field in Elsah, Illinois.

ELSAH, Ill. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team (10-0-4) moved its unbeaten streak to 14 games with 3-0 win over Principia (2-9-1) on Saturday afternoon at Principia Soccer Field in Elsah, Illinois.
With the win, the Pioneers stretch of unbeaten play matched a program record set in 2021.
Junior Marcelo Garay netted his fourth goal of the season in the 31st minute to put the Pioneers ahead heading into halftime. Freshman Brady Harwood earned the assist, his second of the year.
UW-Platteville added a pair of second half goals to secure the win, with Harwood scoring an unassisted goal in the 47th minute to increase the lead to two just after the break. The Pioneers would tack on another in the 81st minute on sophomore Kellen Klosterman's first of the year. Junior Michael Schaefer was credited with the assist.
The Pioneers outshot the Panthers 18-2, including 10-2 in shots on goal. Harwood and sophomore Sebastian Carranza paced UW-Platteville with four shots and three on frame apiece.
In goal, sophomore Seth Aiken made a pair of saves for his second consecutive shutout.
The Pioneers travel to no. 23-ranked St. Olaf (9-3-1) on Tuesday afternoon for a 3:30 p.m. contest.
