DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s soccer team (7-0-4) scored a second half goal to post a 1-1 draw against Loras (6-2-4) on Tuesday night from the Rock Bowl in Dubuque.

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team (7-0-4) scored a second half goal to post a 1-1 draw against Loras (6-2-4) on Tuesday night from the Rock Bowl in Dubuque.
The Duhawks found the back of the net just eight minutes into the contest to take the early lead. UW-Platteville outshot Loras 8-5 in the first half, but Loras put more on frame with a 3-1 advantage.
In the 59th minute, junior Isaac Peterson evened the game at one apiece with his second goal of the season. Sophomore Ethan Dietrich was credited with the assist, his third on the campaign.
UW-Platteville finished with 11 shots in the second half, including seven on goal, but were unable to add another goal on the board. For the match, the Pioneers held the advantage in shots at 19-10 and kept Loras from attempting a shot on goal in the final 45 minutes.
Dietrich finished with a match-high six shots, while sophomore Danny Gutzwiller had four shots including three on goal. In net, sophomore Seth Aiken made a pair of saves on three shots faced.
The Pioneers return home and will celebrate Alumni Day on Friday night against Central (Iowa) at 7 p.m.
