Pioneers Draw With Knights Tuesday
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s soccer team (5-0-3) played Wartburg (4-0-3) to a 0-0 draw on Tuesday night inside Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team (5-0-3) played Wartburg (4-0-3) to a 0-0 draw on Tuesday night inside Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
The Pioneers dominated possession for much of the contest but we unable to break through the Knights defense for a go-ahead goal. After outshooting Wartburg 8-1 in the first half, UW-Platteville attempted 15 shots to just one for the visitors in the final 45 minutes. The Pioneers also finished with an 8-1 advantage in shots on frame for the match.
Eleven different players recorded a shot for the Pioneers, led by four from sophomore Danny Gutzwiller. Freshman Justin Williams and sophomore Ethan Dietrich were next on the team with three shots each. Gutzwiller paced the team in shots on goal with three.
Sophomore Seth Aiken made one save to keep Wartburg off the scoreboard and moved his record to 4-0-3 on the season. Aiken boasts a goal against average of 0.62 on the year to go along with a .833 save percentage across seven starts.
The Pioneers look to remain unbeaten when they host Albion on Saturday at noon.
