PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The No. 18 ranked University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s soccer team shutout Augustana 3-0 on Thursday night in Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The No. 18 ranked University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team shutout Augustana 3-0 on Thursday night in Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
The Pioneers' (10-2-2) victory over the Vikings (5-8-0) was led by senior Logan Rinderknecht who put the Pioneers ahead 1-0 in the 22nd minute with an assist from senior Brad Strobel.
The 1-0 lead held through the half until the Pioneers went on two-goal run in a minute and a half early in the second half. Rinderknecht once again found the net in the 48thminute with an assist from Braxton Rottinghaus. Only a minute later, Rinderknect assisted Matt Walter with his first college career goal to put the Pioneers ahead 3-0.
The Pioneers held a 17-3 advantage on shots for the night over the Vikings with seven on goal. In addition, UW-Platteville had a 6-0 corner kick advantage while Augustana totaled 15 fouls over the Pioneers' three.
Both team's goalkeepers recorded the full 90 minutes with Augustana's Jeff Bell totaling four saves on the night while UW-Platteville's Nate Miller earned the win and a save in the night's matchup.
The Pioneers will return to action on Sunday, Oct. 21 for the rescheduled matchup in Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium against the Loras Duhawks at 3 p.m.
