WAVERLY, IA - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team defeated Wartburg College 3-0 Friday night in Waverly, Iowa.
After a scoreless first half, sophomore midfielder Logan Rinderknecht got UW-Platteville on the board first midway through the second half. Freshman midfielder Braxton Rottinghaus added to the Pioneer lead with his own unassisted goal. Senior defensemen Will Pretto capped the scoring with an unassisted goal, sending one in with minutes left to play.
Freshman Nate Miller earned the shutout, stopping 5 shots on goal.
The Pioneers moved to 9-5 overall while Wartburg dropped to 8-4-1 overall.
