PLATTEVILLE, Wis - The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team defeated Augustana (Illinois) 1-0 Wednesday night at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
Sophomore midfielder Logan Rinderknecht scored midway through the first half, scoring off a header from Freshman midfielder Bryan Hart.
That's all the Pioneers needed as they hung on for a 1-0 win. Freshman goalie Will Seehawer started the game at goalie collecting two saves. Freshman Nate Miller came in the second half and also collected two saves.
The Pioneers moved to 7-2, while Vikings dropped to 2-5 overall.
The Pioneers return to action on Sept. 25 at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium at 2 p.m. against Minnesota-Morris.
