Rinderknecht’s two goals propel Pioneers to win
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s soccer team defeated Wisconsin Lutheran 4-2 on Wednesday night at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team defeated Wisconsin Lutheran 4-2 on Wednesday night at Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium.
The Pioneers were able score right away, Sophomore midfielder Nick Hoklas notched his first goal of the year at the 8-minute mark.
Sophomore forward Logan Rinderknecht continued his stellar season with another goal, midway through the first half. Hoklas was credited with the assist.
Wisconsin Lutheran was able to score one goal in the first half, right before the half ended.
In the second half, the Pioneers put up two more goals, one from freshman midfielder Braxton Rottinghaus, and another from Rinderknecht. Sophomore midfielder Brad Strobel collected both assists.
Wisconsin Lutheran was able to tack one more goal on, but it was not enough as the Pioneers went on to win the game.
Freshmen goalie Will Seehawer started the game in goal, saving two shots and allowing one. Classmate Nate Miller came in the second half and faced one shot on goal.
The Pioneers moved to 5-1, while Wisconsin Lutheran dropped to 3-2-2 on the season. UW-Platteville plays next at Lawrence University in Appleton on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 2 p.m.
