Pioneers suffer first loss
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men’s soccer team lost its first game of the season to Concordia, losing 2-1 Saturday afternoon in Mequon, Wisconsin.

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville men's soccer team lost its first game of the season to Concordia, losing 2-1 Saturday afternoon in Mequon, Wisconsin.
After a scoreless first half, the Pioneers found themselves in a hole in the second half. Concordia was able to strike twice after halftime.
The Pioneers were able to get on the scoreboard with little time remaining. Sophomore forward Logan Rinderknecht was able to notch an unassisted goal for the Pioneers at the 74-minute mark. Rinderknecht has now extended his goal streak to four consecutive games.
However, the Pioneers were not able to muster any more goals, dropping their first game of the year.
Freshmen goalie Nate Miller faced 7 shots on goal, stopping 5 of them. The Pioneers recorded 5 shots on goal.
UW-Platteville dropped too 3-1. Concordia remained undefeated, moving to 3-0.
The Pioneers will look to get back on track on Sunday at Marian, Wisconsin. The game starts at 1 p.m.
